Under normal circumstances, unmanned gas stations may charge your Juno card a temporary authorization hold of up to $175, be rest assured this is just an initial pre-authorization from the merchant and not the final bill.

The cost of your gas will be charged later as a separate transaction that releases the authorization hold. To avoid this issue, we recommend paying the amount of gas you’d like at the register before you pump.

It can generally take up to 30 business days for Juno to receive the refund from the merchant. As soon as Juno receives the refund, the funds will automatically appear in your balance.

In case the amount has still not been released post 30 business days, please feel free to reach out to Juno support and we will try contacting the merchant on your behalf and get the issue resolved at the earliest.
